Of all Seth's artwork, this is the one that most clearly shows the combination of humor and seriousness that were hallmarks of his work. The situation is clearly lethal, but the dangers that accost the hero are pretty goofy--a giant slug riding on the flatcar of a train that is a split second away from colliding with another train right on top of him, and a grimacing Ol' Sol, as well as the more standard monster and transformer types. Yet the hero is calm, a product of his meditative and accepting outlook on life, a subject that Seth ttreated with seriousness.
