Two Happydalians whose business ventures often take them afoul of the law have come across a guy who has been beaten to death, and they plan how to get him to the police without becoming implicated themselves.  
Happydale has many different characters, each one an important part of the plot.  In 130-some pages, Seth has managed to make each character recognizable and memorable.
